This Lakeland homeowner loved spending time outside grilling and sharing meals on their back patio, but the existing covered lanai didn’t offer enough space to truly enjoy it. They wanted more room to gather, relax, and spend time outdoors without constantly battling bugs or weather disruptions.
To make that possible, our team at MD Construction extended the patio with new concrete and built a screened patio enclosure that expanded the outdoor living area while adding comfort and protection. The new screened space provides plenty of room for grilling, dining, and relaxing, all while staying shaded and bug-free.
In addition to the rear screened patio, the homeowner also chose to screen in the front entryway. This created a useful buffer between the front door and the outdoors, helping prevent bugs from rushing inside while still allowing airflow and visibility. Together, these upgrades made the home more functional and enjoyable from front to back.
The homeowner shared their experience after the project was complete, saying,
“I am very pleased with the high quality of the lanai and the fast pace of its construction. I definitely picked the right company for the project. They assisted with gaining HOA approval, handled all the city permits and built a structure beyond my imagination! I did shop around and can attest that they are price competitive as well.”

This homeowner’s experience reflects what many of our customers share after working with MD Construction. From clear communication to clean job sites and quality craftsmanship, we’re proud of the feedback we receive from homeowners across Central Florida.
