This Lakeland homeowner already had a pool enclosure, but they wanted more usable space around the pool deck. The existing screen cage limited how easily they could walk around the pool and didn’t leave enough room for additional seating and lounge chairs. To create a more comfortable layout for relaxing and entertaining, our team at MD Construction designed a larger replacement enclosure with an expanded concrete deck extension.
The project included removing the original 39′ × 24′ screen enclosure and replacing it with a much larger 39′ × 29′ pool cage that opened up the entire pool area. We also added a new 39′ × 5′ concrete deck extension with an acrylic texture finish in Sandstone to seamlessly blend with the existing pool deck. The added space gives the homeowners more room to move around the pool comfortably, set up chairs on the opposite side, and fully enjoy their outdoor living area.
The new enclosure was built with durable aluminum framing, oversized structural members, and a new super gutter system for long-lasting performance and proper drainage. Decorative details like matching control joints and integrated drainage helped the finished project feel like a natural extension of the original pool area.
